  • Product Manager, DevOps

    Austria, Vienna


    Location: Europe (Vienna Preferred). Candidates outside of this geography will not be interviewed for this position. Please do not apply for this job unless you already live in the geography and are eligible to work in Europe.

    An exciting opportunity for a DevOps Technical role, at one of the global leaders in enterprise business automation. The successful candidate will have experience in implementing DevOps solutions at a senior level in large organizations and is well versed in the world of hybrid cloud, PaaS, microservices and serverless architectures.

    The candidate will have to work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, support, sales, marketing to provide DevOps thought leadership and help to bring to market automation capabilities that span legacy and cutting-edge application stacks.

    Please note: If you have not directly worked hands-on with cloud native architectures, containers, container orchestration solutions and microservices. Please do not apply for this job.

    Key Responsibilities / Profile: Technical:

    • Understand the impacts of DevOps in multiple technology stacks;
    • Have a thorough understanding of cloud-based architectures;
    • Proven track record in building solutions around deployment automation;
    • Experience in managing and contributing source in git (GitHub ops, branching, merging, etc)
    • Hands-on experience with the CD toolchain at large on following technologies and practices: CI/CD, Jenkins (pipeline), Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker (Swarm), Kubernetes, Mesosphere, Rancher, AWS, Azure, etc.
    • Research DevOps technology landscape and implement reference scenarios / demos in lab environment

    Strategy / Product Development:

    • Interact with different parts of the organization in shaping and implementing a winning DevOps product strategy;
    • Interacting with application development, enterprise architecture, and relevant technology services. These teams may be at distributed locations, including development centers outside Austria, and would require continuous interaction;
    • Knowledge sharing, strong communication skills.


    The annual salary starts at EUR 65,000 and can be adjusted to align with your personal qualifications and experience

    This individual will be expected to deliver world-class solution demonstrations of the Automic Platform to technical and non-technical audiences, at executive and or technical levels, and at both pre and post sales meetings. You must be able to articulate the business and technical value proposition and key differentiating capabilities to prospective new customers and solutions partners as well as Lead architecture design discussions and recommend an appropriate combinations of technical solutions for production deployment(s) as you collaborate with Account Managers to ensure all aspects of the sale are aligned.     Qualified individuals will possess IT presales experience performing the activities below:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Customer demonstrations and presentations

    • Own Presales technical account management at prospective customers

    Our Sales Development Representatives are high-energy and self-motivated.  This is a critical role for both sales and marketing and acts as a conduit between the lead generation programs from marketing to the sales team.

    Using excellent phone, email and social/digital skills combined with the ability to quickly qualify customer opportunities, this individual will drive the lead qualification engine and work closely with the sales organization.  The Sales Development Representative is responsible for building sales volume by uncovering, developing, and qualifying sales meetings with prospective buyers in target markets in Northern EMEA (UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) then will work with the sales team to progress the opportunity through the pipeline to close.  We are looking for professionals with strong organizational and follow-up skills who have the ability to work in a team environment.
