Our Marketplace has long been a central hub for integrating with the most popular platforms – offering a suite of tools, templates and add-ons which enable you to quickly solve common business problems. Since joining the CA Technologies family, we’ve been diligently working on providing seamless integration between our automation capabilities and the CA portfolio.

The Best of Both Worlds

We’ve taken a step back, assessed CA’s existing toolset as well as our own automation platform, and asked ourselves, ‘how can we get even more out of both products?’ The result is a series of value-driven combinations that play to the strengths of both offerings, enabling efficiency, productivity and consistency.

Let’s take CA Service Virtualization as an example. It’s designed to allow you to deploy applications to a virtual environment, instead of having to provision a physical one, at the click of a button. Our new Action Pack now enables you to automatically deploy this from your Automic workflow. You can schedule the ‘start/stop’ processes of virtual services, as well as their deployment or deletion. Tests, test suites and test result comparisons can all be configured and automated. By implementing our automation expertise, we’ve been able to harness the strength of both our offerings, and dial them up to 11.

It’s a similar story for Test Data Management. One of the most time-consuming problems in continuous delivery remains the creation, maintenance and provisioning of test data. Moreover, it’s highly resource-intensive. Our new Test Data Manager plugin removes these pain points. Now you can automatically create test data environments from directly within your Automic workflows. This massively simplifies and reduces the effort needed to accomplish this critical process. Indeed, it’s as simple as adding requests to ‘submit’ or ‘get publish’ jobs to your workflows.
