Ellucian Live 2017 kicks off next week in Orlando, Florida (March 19-22) for another packed conference filled with breakout sessions, learning labs and more! Automic will be setting up shop at booth 125 from March 20th as the conference gets into full swing. We hope to see many new and familiar faces.

Ellucian Live prides itself as the most dynamic conference in higher education, bringing in more than 8,400 attendees from 1,300 institutions around the world. It’s a great opportunity to discuss the ever-changing technology landscape and the role it plays in higher education with your peers and vendors and to engage in a  global community that continues to revolutionize the educational industry.

Register to reserve your spot and partake in the eventful, educational (no pun intended) Ellucian Live conference while there is still time.

Deliver Rapid Returns with Automic

The Automic team is ready to help higher education institutions break down the barriers that hinder their teams’ efficiency. Whether you are only just preparing to implement Ellucian Banner or you have been a customer for years, Automic is here to automate your system administrations tasks, simplify complex operating procedures and ensure efficient processing. Our automation software integrates with all Banner modules and works with many of your peers who have the same challenges you do.

Hear from Your Fellow Universities

We are excited to see several Automic customers speaking at Ellucian Live this year! Listen to the real issues your peers have been tackling with Automic automation solutions on a daily basis.

Plan your schedule around one or all three of these sessions to hear more on Banner automation:

1. Automate Processes in Banner, Oracle, and UNIX with Automic Application Manager

Monday, March 20 from 3:30-4:30 pm with Robert Segrest - Banner Database Administrator, University of Montevallo.

University of Montevallo utilizes Automic Application Manager to facilitate the use of Banner data by other on- and off-campus systems. Without Application Manager, many processes would be manual or scheduled in CRON. The university will discuss how, in addition to scheduling Banner jobs, Automic Application Manager makes IT significantly more productive.

2. Using Banner and Automic to Streamline Direct Loan (DL) Reconciliation

Tuesday, March 21st, 2:00-3:00 pm with Jennifer Buckles - Director of Financial Aid, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

The DL reconciliation process can be overwhelming and time-consuming, but it can be streamlined into a quick and easy job on Banner with the Automic solution. This session will discuss how to use Automic to pull the reconciliation files through the TD Client, prepare them for processing, import into Banner and run the reconciliation reports. We'll show you how to complete the reconciliation process quickly and efficiently.

3. Complete Banner Financial Aid Automation Using Automic

Wednesday, March 22nd, 11:15am-12:15 pm with Nathan McCoy - Financial Aid Systems Tech, Harding University, and Jonathan Roberts - Director of Financial Aid, Harding University

This session demonstrates how to build Automic process flows that enable processing of two aid years simultaneously (current and coming years) all without any hard-coded periods or aid year codes. Virtually no maintenance is needed as part of the annual “roll” process, so transitions are seamless.

Come by booth 125 to talk to us and tell us how you use Banner! We will walk you through your current process and what it could look like after an Automic Software and Ellucian Banner integration is complete. Let us help you make your job easier and free you up to tackle other projects.

Start taking a systematic, streamlined approach to Banner by incrementally replacing multiple ad hoc tools with a centralized automation platform.
